The Switch R1 fits standard US single-gang toggle and decora switches. If your wall has a non-standard plate or a commercial switch, drop us a photo at hi@magsidesign.com and we'll confirm before you buy.
No. You're not touching any wiring — you're only removing the outer plate and snapping on the Magsi bracket. That said, if it makes you more comfortable, flipping the breaker never hurts.
Yes. That's the whole point. Pop the cover off, unscrew the bracket, put your original plate back on. Your Switch R1 comes with you to the next apartment.
The bracket mounts to the switch housing, not to the wall itself — so textured, painted, or papered walls are not a problem. The cover sits 1.5mm proud of the wall surface.
Send it back within 60 days. Free returns, no questions, no restocking fees. If it doesn't fit your switch, it shouldn't be your problem.
